What this form is for
This form is to be completed whenever a helicopter operates in, lands on, or carries a load over Wellington City Council open spaces.
Completing this form does not guarantee access to a park or reserve, and failure to provide the necessary information may lead to your application not being accepted for processing.
If the application is successful, a permit will be signed by a Council representative and returned to you. This becomes your permit and should be kept with you during helicopter operations.
What you'll need to supply
Upload the following documents:
- CAA airline operators certificate
- Public liability insurance certificate
- Proof of site visit / hazard check
- Aerial photo showing proposed flight path
- Reason for application - description of operation stating whether a helicopter will land or carry loads, the landing site and contents of load
- Letters, posters, public notices, advertising that notifies all affected persons / landowners
- Health and safety plan / site control plan (with any required traffic / crowd control, emergency exits, and / or block-offs)
- Copies of any consents required to be obtained in order to carry out the helicopter operations
- All required documents if conducting an aerial spray operation
